Quick answer

Kind Goods or Luxury Leaf, which should I go to?

Kind Goods runs seven licensed stores across Missouri, two of them in the city: On The Hill at 2652 Hampton Ave, licence DIS000052, and Soulard at 1631 S Broadway, licence DIS000206. We run one, in the Grove. That single difference drives most of what separates the two shopping experiences, from how consistent the shelf feels to who is standing behind the counter when you walk in.

Start with which one you can actually get to

On The Hill sits 2.1 miles from us. Soulard is 3.1. Both are a straightforward drive, and on a Saturday afternoon the parking situation matters more than the mileage.

Hampton Avenue is the practical dividing line. If you are south or west of it, On The Hill is probably closer to you than we are, and we'd rather you knew that up front. If you are anywhere around Forest Park, the Grove, or the Central West End, we are the shorter trip.

The hours are close, with one real gap

Kind Goods opens at 8 AM at both city stores and closes at 9:45 PM every night of the week. We open at 7 AM Monday through Saturday and close at 10 PM.

So on a weekday we are open a full hour before they are, and fifteen minutes later at night. On Sunday it flips: they run until 9:45 PM and we close at 7 PM. Neither of those gaps matters unless you are the person standing outside at 7:15 in the morning or 8 at night, and if you are, the gap is the entire decision.

What a seven-store buying operation does to the shelf

A chain buys for seven rooms. That means volume pricing, deeper stock on the strains that move everywhere, and a shelf that looks broadly similar whichever branch you walk into. Kind Goods lists nine categories: flower, pre-rolls, edibles, vaporizers, concentrates, tinctures, topicals, accessories and apparel.

We buy for one room. Our shelf carries flower, pre-rolls, edibles, vapes, concentrates, topicals, CBD and accessories from 119 Missouri cultivators and manufacturers, and the buyer picking those is the person you can talk to about them.

Neither model is better in the abstract. A chain is more predictable. A single store can move faster on a small-batch drop and can afford to stock something that only sells in one neighbourhood. Pick the one that matches how you shop.

What the counter feels like

This is the part that does not show up in a comparison table, and it is the honest reason most regulars pick one over the other.

Our crew is the same crew. They learn what you bought last time and whether it worked. When you ask what came in this week, the answer comes from someone who was there when it was unloaded. A seven-store operation has different staffing needs than a single room does, and consistency across branches is its own kind of value.

If you want to test the difference, ask both counters the same question about a cultivator you like and see which answer is more specific.

Where to start

Check the live menu before you go anywhere. It updates daily, and it will settle the question faster than any comparison will.

If you would rather not make the trip, we deliver ourselves, seven days a week from 9 AM to 7 PM, at a flat $10 waived over $75. Details and the approved ZIP codes are on the delivery page.

Bring a valid ID showing you are 21 or over. Every licensed store in the state checks it, every visit. You can confirm any store's licence, ours included, on the state's licensed facilities register before you hand anyone your money, or start with our rundown of the licensed field.

Licence numbers, addresses and coordinates come from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Division of Cannabis Regulation verified dispensary register, checked 8 September 2026. Distances are straight-line miles measured from that register’s own coordinates to 1463 S Vandeventer Ave, not drive times. Opening hours for other businesses come from their own published pages on the same date and can change without notice, so confirm before you travel.
